The Port of Liepaja is the port of the comprehensive TEN-T network, which serves the EU internal market, where the intensity of large-tonnage ships’ movement has increased significantly with the implementation of the Cohesion Fund (CF) project “Dreepāja Port of Liepaja”. Thematic Objective 7 funds sustainable transport and network infrastructure: TEN-T core-network completion, rail electrification, urban mobility, ports and inland-waterway upgrades.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €24.2M toward a total project cost of €30.3M — a co-funding rate of 80%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
