The aim of the project is modernisation of the infrastructure of STEM study directions of the University of Latvia (hereinafter – LU) and concentration of resources in the Academic Centre of the University of Latvia in Tornakalns, including medical colleges established in the University of Latvia, in order to become one of the leading universities in the Baltic region. About the Low-carbon economy objective
Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €11.1M toward a total project cost of €13.0M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
