Monitoring of species and habitats of Community importance under the Habitats and Birds Directives

The aim of the project is to implement a wide-ranging monitoring of species and habitats, to ensure the availability of up-to-date data through an information system and to reduce the number of unknown status of habitats and species of Community importance (a total of 59 habitats and species). Co-funding: the EU contributes €17.8M toward a total project cost of €20.9M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.

Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund. It draws on lists of beneficiaries published by national managing authorities and harmonises them into a single EU-wide view.
