DPMK as the only company in Košice has been providing regular public transport for over 120 years. At the moment, the company faces strong competition from individual car transport, which is its biggest competitor. IAD gradually reduces the number of passengers transported by public transport and thus the company’s share of the transport market, including the formation of congestion in the city of Košice. About the Low-carbon economy objective
Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €16.0M toward a total project cost of €18.9M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
