In recent years, the number of residents of Vilnius city and the number of “daily residents” entering the city has steadily increased, leading to increasing flows of individual vehicles on the streets of the city, increasing congestion, air pollution, and longer journey times. About the Low-carbon economy objective
Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €13.5M toward a total project cost of €15.8M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund.
