The A1 Vilnius-Kaunas-Klaipeda road forms the vast majority of the IXB transport corridor and is the country’s most important transport artery between East and West. The section of the A1 road in question from 10.0 km to 95.0 km is the main connection between the largest counties of Lithuania and their centres — Vilnius and Kaunas cities.
