The project “Building a second road on the Livintai-Gaižiūnai section” is designed to improve the public sector in the social and economic context. The feasibility study found that the infrastructure capacity of the existing section of Livintai-Gaižiūnai did not correspond to the growing freight flows, the existing single track is old, deteriorated and the population is adversely affected by rail traffic noise.
