Renovation of dormitories Nos 11, 14, 15 and 16 of Kaunas University of Technology to improve energy efficiency
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) aims to implement an infrastructure modernisation (building renovation) project aimed at increasing energy efficiency, reducing thermal energy consumption, operating costs and increasing the attractiveness of the student campus. The project is designed to renovate and insulate 4 dormitories located in Pašilės str. 37, Pašilės str. 39, Vydūnas al. 25, Vydūnas al. 25a, Kaunas buildings, thus optimising thermal energy consumption and reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. About the Low-carbon economy objective
Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.
EU contribution: €3.9M from the Cohesion envelope.
