Water is a crucial resource for agriculture. Due to increasing climate change, however, various agricultural areas are facing a general problem with drying out. What is more, for many years, there has been an excessive extraction of groundwater that threatens both quantity and quality. Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.9M toward a total project cost of €6.0M — a co-funding rate of 48%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
