Promoting cross-border linkages for water and biodiversity management
The main topic of the project is the management of transboundary water resources. The aim is to better know and share information, to better anticipate developments, anthropogenic pressure, pollution caused by gold mining, the increase in household and industrial waste, floods and droughts, and to study the impacts of climate change in order to better manage this shared resource and the entire biodiversity that depends on it. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €613k toward a total project cost of €850k — a co-funding rate of 72%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
