Cross-border cooperation in health
The two banks of the Maroni constitute a territorial and demographic unit and, as a result, have similar health problems. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The aim is to increase the level of health of the cross-border population by improving access to care and the quality of prevention for populations in the Maroni basin, as well as optimising the development of cross-border health structures.
About the Social inclusion and fight against poverty objective
Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €449k toward a total project cost of €790k — a co-funding rate of 57%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
