Geological hiking experience in the Geopark Karawanken
The UNESCO Geopark Karawanken has a rich geodiversity. In the Geopark area, 48 Geosites and 14 other Geopark features have been registered. Geopoints or also commonly called Geosites, are geol. and geomorphologically interesting points or areas in nature. They also have archaeological, historical, botanical, zoological, cultural or technical significance. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.6M toward a total project cost of €1.9M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
