Todays’ urban lifestyle in cities is fast and very intensive. Thus, vast numbers of citizens and visitors actively search for places to relax from daily stress. Often, there is no time for “the escape from the city”, so they look for alternatives. Traditionally, they find them in urban and peri-urban forests (UPF). Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
