A prospering waterborne transport sector contributes to a sustainable transport system and regional growth. Besides better fairway conditions, a more modern, energy-efficient fleet, better management of the transport system through comprehensive infrastructure planning and investment solutions are required. About the Sustainable transport and network infrastructure objective
Thematic Objective 7 funds sustainable transport and network infrastructure: TEN-T core-network completion, rail electrification, urban mobility, ports and inland-waterway upgrades.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €3.1M toward a total project cost of €3.6M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
