Circular Bio-based Construction Industry
The objective of CBCI is to set up the bases for the circular, bio-based construction industry to become an integral part of the construction market in the 2Seas area. This will reduce the use of non-sustainable resources (materials, energy) in the sector and increase reuse and the use of sustainable bio-based resources. This will be reached by offering solutions based on experimentations and real-life integrations in Living Labs addressing the multiple stakeholders of the construction sector.
About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €4.2M toward a total project cost of €7.0M — a co-funding rate of 60%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
