The Melilla Health Area is managed by the Central State Administration through the National Institute of Health Management (INGESA) since 2002 and during the COVID-19 pandemic it has had to care for and protect the population of Melilla, both through acquisitions of medical and pharmaceutical equipment, as well as the reinforcement of health personnel. About the Social inclusion and fight against poverty objective
Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €12.8M toward a total project cost of €16.0M — a co-funding rate of 80%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
