Support for the development of the emergency medical system

This project is implemented throughout the country, covering 237 sites of the emergency medical care system. The aim of the project is to ensure quality, equal and timely access to the services of AMS for citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria and residing on its territory in accordance with the strategic guidelines and objectives of the National Health Strategy 2020, the Concept for Development of the Emergency Medical System in the Republic of Bulgaria 2014-2020 and the National Health Card. Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €70.9M toward a total project cost of €83.4M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
