Large metropolitan areas such as Vienna have enormous energy consumption and need new concepts for the energy transition to ensure security of supply and provide sustainable services for all residents. Hydrogen is a possible solution to this challenge. The Vienna Hydrogen Model Region is proposed by a consortium consisting of Austria's largest energy supplier and energy infrastructure operator.
