ABESTII Argentinean Bureau for Enhancing Cooperation with the European Community in the Science, Technology and Innovation Area. Phase II
Coordinator: Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Productiva (AR)
ABEST II was conceived as a natural continuation of the successful ABEST/A-EU 6th Framework Programme project whose main objective was to promote joint participation of Argentinean and European scientists in the activities proposed by the 7th Framework Programme by improving the process of providing information on programmes and funding about cooperation with third countries. ABEST II will deepen these awareness and information activities stressing the promotion of the participation in some specific FP7 Programmes like People and will operate in such a way that after completion, a permanent s…
About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €491k toward a total project budget of €663k — a funding rate of 74%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 3 years from 2009-10-01 to 2012-09-30.
