CEDESA Centre of Excellence for the Design of Efficient and Safe Aircraft
Coordinator: VYSOKE UCENI TECHNICKE V BRNE (CZ)
The overall aim of the CEDESA project is to upgrade the existing research capacity in aerodynamics and aircraft structures at the Institute of Aerospace Engineering, Brno University of Technology (IAE-BUT) to the highest European level and create a Centre of Excellence for the Design of Efficient and Safe Aircraft.IAE-BUT is a very promising major European research organisation as demonstrated by its participation in four FP6-AEROSPACE and one FP7 Aeronautics R&D project. The Centre of Excellence will be developed through a range of activities derived from IAE-BUT’s SWOT analysis. The activiti…
About Seventh Framework Programme (2007–2013)
The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) ran from 2007 to 2013 and was the EU's main research-funding instrument of that period. It mobilised roughly €50 billion across cooperation projects, ERC frontier grants, Marie Curie fellowships, capacity-building actions and Euratom research. FP7 closed to new calls in 2013 but its projects continued for years after under their original grant agreements.
EU contribution: €1.6M awarded to the consortium. The project runs over approximately 4 years from 2010-09-01 to 2014-08-31.
