The K-TRIO 2 consortium organized in several years Researchers’ Night in Bulgaria in different cities making people and especially children and youth aware of researchers’ profession and the contribution of research to economy and society. The public opinion surveys show that the Researchers’ Night became a popular event in many Bulgarian cities. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €201k toward a total project budget of €249k — a funding rate of 81%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 1.5 years from 2014-06-01 to 2015-11-30.
