The project proposal under the title Cool & Hot (COlest Of Labs & Hottest Of Theories) mixes, blends and unites faces, voices, results and energies of many generations of researchers in offering the public at large, regardless of their age and scientific background, the opportunity to get up-close and personal with researchers. However, a special emphasis in this project will be given to inspiring and motivating next generations of scientists. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €109k toward a total project budget of €118k — a funding rate of 92%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 1.7 years from 2016-05-01 to 2017-12-31.
