Coordinator: AARHUS UNIVERSITET (DK)
The overall aim of the AIAS-COFUND II Fellowship Programme is to reinforce excellent research by establishing a large scale fellowship programme offering long term fellowships (lasting 6-36 months) in which researchers gain freedom and independence to develop their own ideas with access to excellent facilities. The AIAS-COFUND II Fellowship Programme will enhance fellows’ genuine understanding of the methodologies and approaches of other scientific disciplines at the highest level, and thus make cross-disciplinary inspiration and initiatives possible. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
Co-funding: the European Union contributes €5.0M toward a total project budget of €9.9M — a funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by the consortium partners. The project runs over approximately 7 years from 2017-10-01 to 2024-09-30.
