ATLANTIC Advanced theoretical network for modeling light matter interactIon

The ATLANTIC project is aiming at developing a network of advanced theoretical modeling of laser-matter interaction that will foster the development of novel theories by bridging the mathematical descriptions within a consortium of scientific groups who have pioneered these formalisms. These physical models address in details the timescales from the attosecond to the microsecond and the spatial scales from the nanometer to the millimeter, providing accurate but partial predictions of experimental data in a disjoint manner. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation.
