Pollenity Introducing the Internet of Bees: A Smart Beehive System

We rely on one third of all the food on our tables to be pollinated by honeybees. However, their number is dwindling. This obvious shortage has created a new industry - “pollination on demand”. Beekeepers move their beehives from farm to farm in order to provide this service. But beekeepers are not used to such large-scale operations and bees are not used to be moved too often. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation.
