The objective of MILIEU (“woMen dIsabiLity and Inclusion – Scientific Excellence in BUlgaria”) is to create a networking collaboration between the Institute for the Study of the Societies and Knowledge of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (ISSK-BAS) and two high renowned Universities: Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and Università degli Studi di Genova(Italy), with the final aim of increasing ISSK-BAS scientific excellence and visibility, research innovation capacity and of enabling frontier research at the crossroad of studies on women, disability and inclusion. About Horizon 2020 (2014–2020)
Horizon 2020 was the EU's flagship research and innovation programme for 2014–2020, with a budget of around €77 billion. It bundled FP7's strands with the EIT and the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, introduced a stronger societal-challenge orientation, and pushed the funding logic toward closer-to-market innovation. New calls closed in 2020 but funded projects continued through 2024.
