In 2020, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 14.6% compared to 2019, reaching 40.9%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.0%.
Latvia ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.2% (from 34.6% in 2015).
