In 2010, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.9% compared to 2009, reaching 17.1%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.1%.
Sweden ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 67.6% (from 10.2% in 2005).
