The project to restore and adapt premises for daily hospitals and one-day surgery in the Clinical Hospital will contribute to increasing the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of the health system in the Republic of Croatia by improving efficiency and access to daily hospitals and day-to-day surgery, with a view to reducing the number of admissions to acute hospital units by at least 10 %. The realisation of the project will increase the range of work through day hospitals and day-long surgery which will ensure better, more accessible and more efficient healthcare for healthcare users.

Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.6M toward a total project cost of €6.6M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
