Improvement of access to day treatment for ophthalmology and dermatology and other daily hospitals and one-day surgery of the General Hospital of Šibenik-Knin County
The aim of the project is to reduce the number of receptions to acute hospital units of the Šibenik-Knin County by improving existing and introducing new day care services and day-old surgery of ophthalmology, dermatology as well as other contracted day care and day-old surgery. The project planned to build a new building unit of ophthalmology and dermatology, modernisation of the existing substation, equipping daily hospitals with modern medical and non-medical equipment and promotional activities. The project also promotes horizontal EU policies.

Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.2M toward a total project cost of €6.1M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
