Loures Cyclable-Axis Liaison Ribeirinho Vila Franca de Xira/Loures/Lisbon

Creation of a pedestrian and cycling route with 6.1 km articulating, through the Ribeirinha Front of the municipality of Loures, the pedestrian and cycling routes already existing and in project in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira with Parque das Nações, in the municipality of Lisbon. It will contribute to sustainable urban mobility by linking rail, road, pedestrian and cyclable modes, reducing individual transport and reducing GHG emissions.

About the Low-carbon economy objective

Thematic Objective 4 funds the low-carbon economy — renewable-energy capacity, energy efficiency in public buildings and housing, low-carbon urban mobility, smart grids and combined heat and power. It is the single largest climate strand of 2014–2020 Cohesion.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.3M toward a total project cost of €4.7M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
