Rehabilitation of the Public Space of Viana do Castelo
The action aims to promote the environmental, urban and landscape quality of urban centers, as a factor of territorial structuring, social well-being and regional competitiveness. As for the action, it is intended to strengthen the attractiveness of the City, to focus on the affirmation of the main vocations and economic ranks of the City and the Territory and to generate new urban atmospheres that stimulate economic and social innovation.
About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.7M toward a total project cost of €3.2M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
