The aim of the project is to improve access to quality health care services, especially for residents of Vidzeme region exposed to the risk of social and territorial exclusion and poverty by ensuring the improvement of infrastructure of Vidzeme hospitals as a regional multi-profile emergency medical treatment institution, rational and efficient distribution of health care resources, use, patient safety and accessibility of the environment. Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.3M toward a total project cost of €6.3M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
