“Installation or purchase of energy efficient housing in the framework of the development programme of the Social Housing Fund”
The project aims to contribute to the development of the social housing fund of Kaunas City Municipality. 173 social dwellings in Kaunas city will be purchased during the project implementation. Out of 173 dwellings, 35 apartments are intended to be accessible for people with disabilities. These 35 dwellings will be equipped with equipment for people with reduced mobility (mobile lifts and folding shower chairs). The project is expected to improve access to housing for families and people entitled to social housing, improve their quality of life and their integration into the labour market.

Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.7M toward a total project cost of €6.7M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
