In order to improve the quality and accessibility of adult tuberculosis treatment services in Vilnius region by centralising the treatment infrastructure in one place, the project of Vilnius University Hospital Santara Clinics is being initiated. During the implementation of the project, it is planned to reconstruct the building at Santariškių str. 14, Vilnius, by installing a tuberculosis hospital, to carry out training on the epidemiological status of tuberculosis and to purchase a car to ensure the operation of the DOTS office. Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €20.8M toward a total project cost of €25.0M — a co-funding rate of 83%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
