“Design and construction of a waste water treatment plant, bringing a collector and partial rehabilitation of the water supply network in the town of Elhovo”
The project of the municipality of Elhovo includes two main components: 1). partial rehabilitation of the WSS network on the territory of the city, as well as 2). construction of a waste water treatment plant, including construction of a leading collector to it. Within the project activities, a working investment project for the construction of the WWTP is planned and its capacity according to the results of the pre-investment study is 11 100 p.e.
About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.3M toward a total project cost of €7.0M — a co-funding rate of 75%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
