Europe is the world’s leading destination for cycle tourism. Cycle tourism represents a great opportunity of green growth for the blue economy. The EuroVelo 1 has for sure a place and a role to play in cycle tourism development in the Atlantic Area. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €3.4M toward a total project cost of €4.6M — a co-funding rate of 75%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
