FermiChem: Empower Green Chemistry Workforce by Fermentation
The world is rapidly transiting towards a more sustainable approach. To catch up with the EU ambition of CO2 neutral and circular economy by 2050, it is essential to switch from conventional chemistry to green chemistry. The current labor market and educational system do not fully meet the demands of this transition in the region. To solve this problem, we set up the FermiChem project. Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.0M toward a total project cost of €3.9M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
Kohesio is the European Commission's open-data platform for projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund and the Just Transition Fund.
