Wave energy is the most prominent form of marine energy. Waves are produced by the action of ebb and flow in combination with the wind. The energy density and predictability of waves makes them an interesting form of renewable energy, complementary to the energy mix of wind and sun. Wave energy can be generated via so-called Wave Energy Converters (WEC-s). With this project, an innovative WEC is realized: the WaveHexaPod (WHP).
