Upgrade of road weather station monitoring system
The project to upgrade the monitoring system of road weather stations of the Transport Administration involves a thorough modernisation of the entire monitoring network of road weather stations, which consists of the renewal of a 60-year-old road weather station and the installation of 25 additional road weather stations in new locations. The monitoring network, which is located on major national roads, will be equipped with new monitoring equipment and will expand to ensure better and more environmentally friendly road maintenance and the safety of road users.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.9M toward a total project cost of €2.6M — a co-funding rate of 73%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
