Environmental energy used for cooling and used by heat pumps for heating is counted as RES in accordance with the Directives and Regulations of the European Parliament and of the Council and is also counted towards the national targets set under the National Energy and Climate Plan NECP The electrification of heating in the final consumption of the building sector is a key component of the country's strategic planning and will contribute to the decoupling of the building sector from fossil fuels.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €10.3M toward a total project cost of €12.1M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
