The project will carry out significant infrastructure measures in the port of Skellefteå. Efforts within the project aim to increase the capacity for sea traffic in the region and contribute to environmentally friendly transport, reduced transport times and less transport costs for the region’s companies. Thematic Objective 7 funds sustainable transport and network infrastructure: TEN-T core-network completion, rail electrification, urban mobility, ports and inland-waterway upgrades.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €4.8M toward a total project cost of €9.6M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
