IMplementing MEasuRes for Sustainable Estuaries
North Sea Region estuaries are dynamic environments subject to persistent and increasing pressures, such as modified tidal ranges, increased flooding, and higher sedimentation rates, which impact estuary functioning and services. Implementation of management measures to address these pressures requires large investments, long planning periods and stakeholder commitment. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.3M toward a total project cost of €4.5M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
