Ecotourism - visitor experiences building on natural and cultural heritage assets, conserving the environment, and sustaining the well-being of local people – can be a key factor in providing employment and income in rural and sparsely populated areas, while maintaining these assets and the fundamental qualities of traditional life. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €755k toward a total project cost of €1.5M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
