BIOTER- Puhos bioterminal investment project
A multimodal bioterminal unit unique to Finland will be built in Puhos industrial area. All actors can access it equally and cost-effectively. The project focuses on investments in the municipality's infrastructures: rail and port infrastructure, road network, logistics operating areas and the handling and storage of goods. The measures concern land owned by the City of Kitee. Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.7M toward a total project cost of €3.9M — a co-funding rate of 70%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
