Urban areas attract extensive flows of goods. Recent studies in cities show that substantial efficiency gains are possible if stakeholders cooperate and bundle freight on the last mile within urban areas using smart urban freight logistics hubs. Thematic Objective 7 funds sustainable transport and network infrastructure: TEN-T core-network completion, rail electrification, urban mobility, ports and inland-waterway upgrades.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.8M toward a total project cost of €3.6M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
