Building Shared Knowledge capital to support natural resource governance in the Northern periphery
This project develops planning tools that enhance the use of participatory techniques, and gives assistance for decision makers concerning land use planning and natural resource governance. Concretely, the development of participatory tools such as participatory GIS (PPGIS) is needed. Until now, these tools have been developed for urban areas and utilized successfully. Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €770k toward a total project cost of €2.0M — a co-funding rate of 39%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
