Cities around the Baltic Sea are rich in natural and cultural resources. The cities are mainly well known for their built and historical districts but the cities around the Baltic Sea can also boast about the biodiversity richness and high value of nature in urban areas. Most of these urban nature areas are undeservingly poorly recognized even by the local inhabitants, not to mention tourists. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.0M toward a total project cost of €1.3M — a co-funding rate of 80%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
