Creating opportunities for regional growth through promoting Cultural HERitage of fISHing communities in Europe
The main objective of CHERISH is to improve regional development policies to protect and promote cultural heritage in fishing communities in order to boost attractiveness of these regions for businesses, citizens and tourists. Fishery communities in the EU share the same challenges with regard to climate change, tourism pressure and the transformation of the European fishing industry. About the Environment and resource efficiency objective
Thematic Objective 6 finances environment and resource efficiency — water and waste management, biodiversity protection, contaminated-site remediation, air quality, and the circular economy.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.5M toward a total project cost of €1.8M — a co-funding rate of 83%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
