The aim of the project is to implement SPA 2020 (Strategic Adaptation Plan for sectors and sensitive areas by 2020), according to which climate change adaptation plans should be developed in cities over 100,000 inhabitants. The project will include the development of plans for adaptation to climate change in all Polish cities over 100 000 inhabitants, which will fully achieve the goal set in the SPA 2020. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective

Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.8M toward a total project cost of €6.8M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
